The CSB/SJU Chamber Choir is the select mixed-voice touring ensemble at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University. The Chamber Choir is directed by Dr. Axel Theimer, DMA.

"I don't think of Music as a class [choir], but a lifestyle." (Axel Theimer)

Since its founding in 1970, the Chamber Choir has been one of the major touring ensembles at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. During the upcoming Spring Break Tour (February 24 – March 8, 2010) the choir will perform concerts in Minnesota, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. Click here for the complete 2010 Tour Schedule

Traditionally the program covers a wide variety of sacred and secular music, ranging from Gregorian Chant and 17th century polyphony to masterworks of the 20th century. This year the program will feature music by Britten, Whitacre, Rachmaninoff, Sweelinck, Hogan, Casals, Grotenhuis, Fissinger and others. For more information, Click here.
