Timberdash Volunteer Job Description

Event Date(s): First or second Sunday in September
Starting Time: 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Training: Short information session before event
Location: Starts at the prairie kiosk and runs through the Saint John’s Woods. Course is different each year
Area of Interest:  Outdoor adventure

Jobs:

• Food distribution
• Timer(s)
• Table registration
• Informational Booth
• Create tree cookie medallions or other prizes for top finishing runners
• Help Arboretum staff set-up the trail including set-up of signs and obstacles on the course

Background Information:
The Timberdash was started around 1998 as a fundraiser to get undergraduates involved in the outdoors.  It has taken place at different times of the year on various courses.
