Support Staff Committee Meeting Minutes

1:00 p.m. Rainbow Room

Present: Jane Schulzetenberg, Andrew Deuhs, Joyce Honer, Keith Matthies Mary Kay Luethmers, Jeanne Terres, Mary Niedenfuer, Bev Overman

Absent: Jackie Miller, Bev Radaich,Tonya Carlson

The meeting began at 1:15 p.m.

I.      Minutes- The Sept. 11, 2002 was handed out.

II.      Old Business

A.     Mary sent out ballots in the areas in which we need representation.

B.     Coffee House-Joyce will check on which of these dates would work best Oct.21, 22 or 24.She also was going to check the cost of apple dumpling and ice cream, carmeled apples and pumpkin dessert. We would spend around $200.00. Joyce suggested we went with colored or theme napkins. The beverages for this event will be coffee, hot chocolate, water and apple cider. The coffee house will be held at O’Connell’s, and the time will be 1:30P.M. – 3:00P.M. Door prizes- Bev O. will check on what items we can have with out being taxed on them. Some suggestions were gift certificates to the bookstore, bakery or buy the bakery items and pumpkins or plants as centerpieces. Mary said she would pick the pumpkins up at the farmer market if we went them as centerpieces and door prizes. Mary also said she would print up the flyers for the coffee house.

III.      New Business

A.     Schedule times to work for the coffee house.

B.     Bev O. will check with Shelly to see if we are having the Christmas Holiday Craft Sale

C.     Suggestions for up coming events- Off campus sporting events (Vikings, Timber wolves and Wild.) Hayride in the winter. Mary will check on some names.
