II.      Old Business

A.     Jeannie presented the final version of the policy and application for the Professional Development. They will go to Nadine for review. The sub-committee group will consist of Terri Johnson, Judy Eggert and Julie Christle. They will meet monthly or as needed. Jeanne will send Bev O. the new guidelines and application and she will put the new ones on the web page. Terri J.suggested that the support staff gets a hard copy of the guidelines and application. So if employees ask for one we have them. We should have deadlines monthly for the applications and post them on the bulletin.

B.     Jeanne brought in 3 ring binders for every one on the committee. It has all the items we need and use inside. They look great.

C.     Joint benefit committee- The newsletter said that we would be getting 2.5%increase. We have 3 health care plans to choice from. Ask Becky T. if she would have a meeting to explain the 3 different health care plans.

D.     Budget report- We have $1,099 this doesn’t include the ice cream social.

E.       Joyce will give us an update on the ice cream social next month

F.      The meeting with Sue and Nadine on April 2 was about the professional development policy and application. Some suggestions for the next meeting were: What is the college doing about longevity? And could we get more vacation after 15 years and if so how would that affect salaries.

G.     Support staff handbook will be revised by Shelly Athman and Judy Eggert. If they have any changes they will report back to the support staff committee.
