1. Students in Gender and Women’s Studies will be able to apply multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks to:
1.1. contribute to an inter- or multi-disciplinary consideration of gender and/or sexuality over time and across cultures;
1.2. investigate how conceptions of gender intersect with such factors as race, class, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and/or nationality;
1.3. demonstrate how social, political, legal, and/or economic power is distributed unequally and experienced differently on the basis of gender; and
1.4. analyze controversial gender-related issues.
2. Students in Gender and Women’s Studies will be able to relate knowledge acquired in their GWST coursework to a broader spectrum by:
2.1.articulating how it relates to the world around them and to their own life experiences, and
2.2. participating in an experiential learning project designed in consultation with the GWST faculty.
