Sara E. Scott (CSB 2003)

Sara has been an assistant in the herbarium for three years.  Even when she's not working, you can often find her hanging out in the herbarium with her crony, Trisha McIntyre.   Sara is a true plant wienie as can be deduced from the title of the independent research project she (& Trisha) completed in Costa Rica - "Medicinal Plants of Bagaces, Costa Rica."  This project was completed during her study abroad experience in Central America.  Sarah presented this research at the CSB/SJU Scholarship Day, St. Cloud State University Undergraduate Research Conference and at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah.  One of her herbarium projects was to prepare a display for the entryway of Peter Engel (shown below).
