The Clemens Library Edible Book Festival will be held on April 1, 2009. Join the event in Facebook!

$50 book store gift certificates will be awarded to the winners in the following categories:

 

• Most Looks Like a Book
• Most Inspired by a Book
• Fan Favorite (that's right, YOU get to vote on a winner!)

 

Here are a few guidelines for the Edible Book Festival:

 

• Whatever you make has to be created from food. The food does not need to taste good together, because we will not be sampling your entry, but the majority of items used must be edible. If you need to use something small like a toothpick to help pull your entry together, you may do so, but use this sparingly.
• Your entry must be related to books and/or reading in some way. You can make something inspired by the title of a book, a book's theme, a character in a book, the cover of a book, by the shape of a book, etc. For examples of entries received in the past, look below at last year's winners and visit the library's Flickr account to view all received entries.
• Entries are due by noon on April 1st in the Clemens Library. Fill out this entry form and submit entries to LeAnn Suchy or Adam Konczewski.
• Entries will be displayed and judged at 3pm on April 1st. Voting for Fan Favorite will be from 3-4pm and winners will be announced shortly after.
• Pick up your entries between 5pm on April 1st and 10am on April 2nd. Any entries not picked up by 10am on April 2nd will be thrown away.
