Reference/Instant Messenger Hours

When fall and spring semester classes are in session, a Reference Librarian is available via Ask a Librarian service during the following hours:

Monday    9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Tuesday    9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Wednesday    9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Thursday  10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday  10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday          1 - 4:30 p.m., 6:30 - 10 p.m.

A Reference Librarian is available for in-person assistance at each library during the following hours:

Monday    11 a.m. - 10 p.m. (4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Clemens only)
Tuesday    11 a.m. - 10 p.m. (4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Clemens only)
Wednesday    11 a.m. - 10 p.m. (4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Alcuin only)
Thursday    11 a.m. - 10 p.m. (4:30 - 10:00 p.m. Alcuin only)
Friday    11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday            1 - 4:30 p.m. at Alcuin only; 6:30 - 10 p.m. at Clemens only

At Alcuin, the Reference Desk is located immediately to the left as you enter the library; at Clemens, it is located to the right as you enter (past the Circulation Desk), near the north alcove of the building.

Reference assistance at other times can be arranged by appointment.

During St. John's School of Theology summer session, a Librarian is on call/available from 9am to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.

When classes are not in session, a Reference Librarian is usually available from 1 - 3 p.m. (See Library Hours for breaks and vacation periods.)
