Student Employee/Team of the Year

Each campus department or community service agency employing CSB/SJU students is invited to nominate an exceptional student employee or student employee team that contributes to the college/agency work environment in an extraordinary way. 

Student Employee of the Year

Application Deadline 

  • Friday, February 16, 2024

Eligibility Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate students employed through the student employment program.  

Nomination Information

  • Write a nomination letter (2 page maximum) that describes the accomplishments of the employee that you feel qualify the student for Student Employee of the Year. Below are some topics you could include:
    • The employee’s greatest strength
    • The qualities that set the employee apart from others
    • How the employee has gone above and beyond in their position
    • How the employee shows initiative
    • Any lasting impact the employee has left on the department, colleges or community
    • How the employee demonstrates critical thinking

Award Information

  • The Student Employee of the Year for each campus will be submitted for consideration in the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators, and National Student Employment Administrators Student Employee of the Year Program. 

Student Team of the Year

Application Deadline 

  • Friday, February 16, 2024

Eligibility Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate students employed through the student employment program.

Nomination Forms

  • Write a nomination letter up to 2 pages in length that describes the accomplishments of the team that you feel meet the qualifications of CSB/SJU student Team of the Year.  Team nominations will be evaluated on how the team works collaboratively to achieve a common goal.  The selected team will need to exhibit synergy - where the team performs in a way that is greater than the sum of its individual members.  The nomination should be as comprehensive as possible to give your team the best chance to receive this award.  Below are some suggested areas to include:
    • The team's greatest strength
    • The qualities that set the team apart from other teams.
    • How the team has gone above the standard work expectations.
    • The impact the team has had on your department, campus and community.
