SJS Reaches Goals During Fall 2008

The Saint John’s Senate is pleased to announce the completion of a number of SJS goals during the fall semester:

·Welcomed all first-year students with free SJU Fight Song T-shirts

·Sponsored fourth annual “Johnnies” Shirts Sales

·Co-Hosted a community BBQ with 1,500 people attended

·Sponsored charity poker tournament benefiting the St. Joseph Food Shelf

·Re-established daily office hours from 3-5 p.m. in Sexton 126

·Re-established the distribution of daily newspapers via the Collegiate Readership Program

·Facilitated student input concerning the future renovations of the Refectory

·Improved the senate website and ensured timely updates regarding agendas, minutes, etc.
