Francis Cardinal George, Archbishop of Chicago, spoke to more than 230 pastoral leaders participating in the Collegeville National Symposium on Lay Ecclesial Ministry Aug. 4 in the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater in Collegeville, Minn. The cardinal's keynote address was titled "Understanding the Ecclesial' in Lay Ecclesial Ministry." The symposium, held Aug. 2-5, is co-sponsored by Saint John’s School of Theology•Seminary and 43 organizations representing the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Catholic ministry organizations, dioceses, and Catholic Universities.
