The Sisters of St. Clare in Bloomington, Minnesota, are the local face of the worldwide Franciscan family. We live the Franciscan form of Gospel life begun by Clare and Francis of Assisi in the 13th century.

The Franciscan life here is as fresh and challenging today as it was for our early friars and sisters. St. Clare encourages us to name our treasure: to stop scurrying about long enough to look within our hearts to see what really matters; to find the bedrock of a life lived in dependence on God; to discover that we are deeply loved. In God’s love is our peace.

St. Clare teaches us to live at peace and share that peace with those around us. She calls us to live in gratitude because all life is a gift and, in so doing, we find the way to true joy.
